In this sample, the TIBCO StreamBase® Web Input adapter and TIBCO StreamBase® Web Output adapter are used to enqueue and dequeue data using REST input requests and WebSocket clients connected for output.
When this sample is started, a web server is created on port 10090 by default and will contain a webpage at the root which lists all available web input and output URLs along with their associated schemas.

In the Package Explorer, double-click to open the
webstreams.sbapp
. Make sure the application is the currently active tab in the EventFlow Editor. -
Click the Run button. This opens the SB Test/Debug perspective and starts the application.

For the example, open a web browser to http://localhost:10090 and use the links provided to open the input and outputs you would like to enqueue or dequeue

Open a web browser to the WebSocket Output Test Page

Open a web browser to the Web Input Test Page and click the Send Request button

In the Application Output view, observe tuples emitted on the
Output
output stream. -
In the WebSocket Output Test Page view the output in the grid that was dequeued by the websocket.

Open a web browser to the Web Input 2 Test Page and fill in some of the fields for the REST call and click the Send Request button, in this case the response is after the tuple is processed by event flow.

When done, press F9 or click the Stop Running Application button.
In StreamBase Studio, import this sample with the following steps:

from the StreamBase Standard Adapters category. -

StreamBase Studio creates a single project containing the sample files.
When you load the sample into StreamBase Studio, Studio copies the sample project's files to your Studio workspace, which is normally part of your home directory, with full access rights.
Important
Load this sample in StreamBase Studio, and thereafter use the Studio workspace copy of the sample to run and test it, even when running from the command prompt.
Using the workspace copy of the sample avoids permission problems. The default workspace location for this sample is:
studio-workspace
/sample_adapter_embedded_webstreams
