Web Streams Adapter Sample

About The Samples

In this sample, the TIBCO StreamBase® Web Input adapter and TIBCO StreamBase® Web Output adapter are used to enqueue and dequeue data using REST input requests and WebSocket clients connected for output.

When this sample is started, a web server is created on port 10090 by default and will contain a webpage at the root which lists all available web input and output URLs along with their associated schemas.

Running The Samples in StreamBase Studio

  1. In the Package Explorer, double-click to open the webstreams.sbapp. Make sure the application is the currently active tab in the EventFlow Editor.

  2. Click the Run button. This opens the SB Test/Debug perspective and starts the application.

  3. For the example, open a web browser to http://localhost:10090 and use the links provided to open the input and outputs you would like to enqueue or dequeue

  4. Open a web browser to the WebSocket Output Test Page

  5. Open a web browser to the Web Input Test Page and click the Send Request button

  6. In the Application Output view, observe tuples emitted on the Output output stream.

  7. In the WebSocket Output Test Page view the output in the grid that was dequeued by the websocket.

  8. Open a web browser to the Web Input 2 Test Page and fill in some of the fields for the REST call and click the Send Request button, in this case the response is after the tuple is processed by event flow.

  9. When done, press F9 or click the Stop Running Application button.
